It was not far from Chester, Wrexham, Shrewsbury and Oswestry as well as Wrexham, Whitchurch, Chirk and Llangollen, lovely location overall.

Marvellous location, it was just next door to the restaurant and food. I was upgraded to an excellent family room with fresh milk & bottled water. The staff was good, as well as hostess.

The staff were helpful. Stunning and perfect location close to attractions like St Chad's Church. Lovely area.

Booked the Hanmer Arms as we were attending a function there. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and the public areas were inviting. Not really a lot more to say apart from the negative.

The lack of sufficient hot water was a real problem. There was only enough for one shower both on the evening of our arrival and the next morning. This was an issue for other people staying too, so not just in our room. We did not have the cooked breakfast so cannot comment, but the continental was very basic and the coffee weak and lacking in flavour - even after I asked for a stronger one. The toast did not appear to be fresh as it went hard very quickly. This hotel is certainly not value for money

Stayed in the loft which was like a self contained flat. Very nice.

Didnt have breakfast as it was priced at £10 per person - for 5 of us that is a lot of money.

The stay here for the wedding was really nice, with the perfect and amazing location just a 5-minute walk from St Chad's Church.

This was a relaxed, informal and friendly hotel. The staff were particularly welcoming and the food was excellent

Friendly/homely atmoshere. Doesn`t feel like a hotel! Feels more like you are at your local in the village. Much nicer!!

Breakfast was served too late! Breakfast should begin at 7.00am not 8.ooam. Most business travellers like myself would need to be leaving the hotel at 8.00am at the latest!

A great experience staying at this venue for a wedding, with clean rooms, friendly staff, and lovely garden views. A twin room had a small refrigerator and a safe for convenience.

There was no heating, no hot water. The first room we were given did not have any chairs, so it was impossible to sit and relax in the room. The rooms were cold and damp.
